Who is anyone to judge or challenge a man's claim to life's struggles? Only a hateful person would attempt to debunk a positive self marketing strategy in America. Especially when self promotion and fight hype is essential on the stage of professional boxing. Exaggerated or not, who gives a **** when this man is able to earn his money while still promoting the rewards of hard work, clean living, and discipline.

What's the worst that can happen...Bernard makes his money and maybe serves as a role model for a truly troubled youth? I guess someone needs to remind him that his marketing campaign should be limited to fur coats, night clubs, tossing cash into crowds, and teaching kids that "if it don't make dollars, then it don't make sense".

Nobody should give **** if some youthful boxing fans are attracted to the "street appeal marketing" of Bernard Hopkins. I enjoy seeing a man make millions, especially when his "street appeal" helps to teach the importance of financial responsibility and inspire troubled boys to become men. I'm more worried about the kids who still believe George Washington wouldn't lie about the cherry tree.
