Kelly Pavlik does NOT have a suspect

I think I heard somewhere recently where Pavlik has been knocked down in quite a few matches before the Taylor fight.

Pavlik got hit with a great shot from Taylor that would've dropped most middleweights and some light heavyweights.

Pavlik is knocked down vs Zuniga (04:50).

I don't think he has gone down in other fights (except against Taylor), not sure.

Pavlik can take some impressive shots (like from Miranda) and he doesn't quit if things don't go his way (like against Taylor) but it's not impossible to put him down and he can be hurt.

The issue should be Pavlik has leaks in his defense, but he recovers quick and has a tough sturdy chin. He took some huge bombs against Miranda and kept comming, people that say Pavlik has a weak chin don't know what there talking about.

It's not that his chin is bad, he just takes way to many big shots and eventually one will put him down.

In this respect he reminds me of Nigel Benn. Many people thought he had a suspect chin but it was always a case of him leaving himself wide open to counterattack.

Sure he can take a punch. But you also saw him literally out on his feet and down on the canvas twice against Taylor.

Ouma can sure as hell take a punch. But he was floored repeatedly in the first round by Silva, downed 3 times against Karmazin, and once against Rubio.

He definitely has a "Suspect" chin. Because even though he ate punches from Jantuah (Who is a huge puncher) he was floored in the other fights.

Also, I wouldn't put it past anyone to hurt Pavlik in a fight. Because he comes straight forward and is there to be hit. Yes he took Miranda's shots and knocked him out...........but nobody really knows how a fighter will respond to being hit under different circumstances.
