yea I said it, maybe wishful thinking but Cotto can get better and better by each fight...think about it, Cotto is also a switch hitter, he's adapted to a boxing style when he wants to (good jab too), has an established chin, he may not be a counter-puncher but he makes it up with explosive aggression when one makes a mistake...and thats good enough...

i give you legendary fights with fighters that have similar abilities and you give me these,thanks.

All we could ask for is Leonard vs Hagler like fight.

But if the fight did go that way, I see Cotto dominating in the later rounds. Floyd physically won't hurt Cotto but could frustrate him in the pocket (which Cotto is also good at...even against the ropes).

People forget too that Cotto is a natural Southpaw and hits with power from both hands. Stylistically, it's not as easy a fight for Floyd as much of Floyd's fans think (or hope) it would be.

I think a lot of it depends on how Mayweather fights.. I'm looking at the SRL-Duran fights.. If he he decides to fight with Cotto, I think Cotto can get him (SRL-Duran 1), but if he fights from a distance and doesn't engage too much, he can win a decision (SRL-Duran 2 without the "No Mas").. I think the latter would happen, I imagine Floyd would try to play it safe, and win a close decision

what..leonard vs. hagler wasn't legendary?...cotto & mayweather will definitely be a legendary fight I believe because of both men's abilities & competitiveness...Cotto is a hard, brutal human-being in that ring and will be alot harder when both finally meet...he's gonna love picking on that defense of Floyd...
