Who has the better two victories.

This was brought up in another thread and I am wondering how others would choose.
    51
Roy Jones Jr's victories over Bernard Hopkins and James Toney
    82.35%
    42
Joe Calzaghe's victories over Mikkel Kessler and Jeff Lacy
    17.65%
    9

    The poll is expired.

You can make a case for either to tell the truth, I am thinking about this one myself.

kesller and lacy are both untested people that will probably will never acheive half the things Hopkins and toney have.

On paper it is Roy Jones. But at the moment of fighting it is definitely Joe Calzaghe. Calzaghe was the underdog against Lacy when Roy Jones was expected to batter the unknown Hopkins.

Roy Jones fought a lot of the top fighters on his resume when they were either young and green or old and shot. Calzaghe fought his in their prime.

I think it's definietly Jones, but if Calzaghe beats Bernard then it becomes A LOT closer.

"Hopkins and Kessler" opposed to "Hopkins and Toney"

                  Roy Jones.

Ask me in 10 years and i may have a different answer though, who knows what Kessler and Lacy will go on to achieve in the future(well, maybe not Lacy). Kessler IMO can go on to achieve alot in the sport and that win will only become more meaningful for JC.

No matter what people say, within the time frame of the fight, people knew about Toney's weight problems and they pretty much disregarded it and held him as the favorite.

                    Two reasons:

                    1) Jones wasn't known in the mainstream quite as much as Toney was at that point. Toney had bigger wins and fought more often.

                    2) James Toney ALWAYS had weight issues. Still does.. It was the same in the Nunn fight, against Littles, against Prince Charles and Barkely. It had become the norm. But he was so active that he was obviously making weight month after month, and still winning. The only real difference between this fight and the others is that Jones was the opponent.
