You can't place Roy above Calzaghe as the best SM of all time as he was not there long enough and did not beat enough quality opposition. however............. he would have beaten Joe as he is one top 5 of all time p4p. I know that is a prardox but it's like me saying that i beleive he would have beaten hagler but i have no basis of rating him above him in all time lists at middle.

Anyone who disagrees with him being an atg needs to think back to the day after he beat Ruiz when they along with all the journalist were comparing him to sugar ray robinson. But they quickly changed there minds after Tarver and johnson.

but the Roy from 89 - 1st March 2003 was untouchable. Fact!

Was it or was it not Roy Levesta Jones Jr who got KOed by Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson?

It wasn't an exhaustion KO which he would get from losing weight, it was a genuine KO loss.

He was OUT COLD against Johnson.

did i say he got ko'd due to exhaustion no i didn't. i stated that he was past his prime, his reflexes faded making him easier to hit. Calzaghe doesn't have their power either.

          Yes he did.

He also had the speed and footwork to close down the gap between him and Roy. I could see Roy being on his ass again, it's not an exaggeration.

Calzaghe would beat Jones now but he would be lucky to win 4 rounds against a prime Jones ,Hopkins & Toney were beaten with ease Hopkins with one hand & Toney got

Joe Calzaghe footwork would'nt get him anywhere near a prime Roy Jones he would get tattooed with counter punchers

Roy Jones in his prime against an average southpaw.

                His legs were totally gone.

Calzaghe has never been down i supose

Jones would take Calzaghe seriously he knew Del Valle was a chump & lost his concentration for a moment

Ricky its like me saying Calzaghe has been nailed by right hands his whole career by outhadox fighters even in his latest fights he still shows the same vulnerability ,Calzaghe was dropped heavily against Mitchell and was blinking when he got up & looked like he was trying to clear his head, yet u say Calzaghe's knockdowns have been more to do with balance, he also sagged against Eubank in the last round of thier fight he was down against Hopkins ,if Hopkins can tag him with the right hand on the way in someone as quick and powerfull as a Prime Jones would not struggle to do the same thing
