Nothing wrong with taking risks. '0' means nothing unless you've beaten the best.

A lot of fighters '0' are padded. Sounds like someone you know hey _Ricky_?

            • getting a loss certainly encourages taking more risks.

Amir Khan is the guy to watch the way Frank Warren manages his career is indicative of any potential change of philosophy in this country regarding riskier match making. No doubt the kid wants it.

It's when you get a guy like Michael Jennings reaching 30-1 or some**** when your appalled. He is a decent domestic operator who hasn't even mixed at decent european level.

Haye is showing the way forward.

              • Haye fought better opposition than most young boxers, and because of that one loss people try to make out that he is a lesser fighter. Joe Louis was a young prospect when he lost to a former world champion, but came back to be one of the best ever.

If the number of defeats on your record was the most important thing then Sven Ottke would be a rated above Ali.

                  • Thread helps to show how idiotic some posters are. THEY are the reason boxing is in a decline in some ways, you put so much emphasis on a damn 0 it's foolish.
