Two completely different fighters. Pavlik not only hits harder than Miranda but he is also the much better and accurate puncher. He systematically breaks his opponents down and never takes a step back. Miranda is one dimensional, has a lazy left jab and only looks to set up his right hand. Pavlik has a much more diverse arsenal and stamina than Miranda. He also doesn't hit low when frustrated so he should be the clear winner in this fight. Take away the 5 point deduction, Miranda beats Abraham by clear unanimous decision.

Something is telling me Pavlik by UD......I could see Abraham being dropped more than once but he is a tough customer and think he'd survive......I could also see Pavlik re-breaking that fragile jaw and it being stopped or Abraham being unable to continue or saying "no" when asked if he wants to continue, like he did against Miranda, but in the USA the fight would be stopped and called a TKO victory like it should have been in Germany.Comment

They are crazy, Abraham will kill Kelly.Comment

Abraham has a tendency to coast a little too often, which makes me wonder how his stamina will hold up when he has to fight a fast paced fight.
And against Pavlik, he will.
If he lays against the ropes as he likes doing so much, Pavlik will keep on hitting him.
Not many will get through cleanly, as Abraham has a very solid defence, & Abraham seems to have a pretty solid chin, but he won't be able to to do it that often without throwing back hard shots, hurting Pavlik & making him wary.
Favour Pavlik by UD in this one, as he's the much more consistent fighter with proven stamina, but it should be interesting if it finally comes off.
Abraham with his power & accuracy has a real chance to stop Pavlik, & Pavlik can be hit cleanly & often if you're willing to throw.
Could be an explosive fight.Comment

I'd go with that assessment. Pavlik has been dropped by lesser people than Miranda (see McKart, Zuniga and power-wise Taylor, so this could be a war.
If Kelly keeps jabbing and keeps his workrate up, he can win but he has to mind his p's and q's during this fight.Comment

Maybe AA is better than we know cuz he ain't fought a lot of tough fights and he'll surprise Pavlik, or maybe he's a paper champ and would get squashed. Either way I think if it happens Pavlik will stop him late in the fight.Comment

Arthur can fight inside Pavlik can't. Watch Abraham fight Ikeke or shut up.Arthur goes into defensive mode whenever his opponent is in an offensive mode, Pavlik is always in offensive mode. Throws straight punches that can thread the peekaboo gloves.
Arthur would simply get pounded on. Something is not right with him. he has stamina issues probably due to being weight drained.
He should avoid Pavlik at 160 and wait for a 168 fight. I'm telling you something is wrong there, he has to overly pace.Comment

Ikeke is not Pavlik nor was he ever champion. He does not have the power or the consistency of Pavlik either. Pavlik is just in a completely different league. The only thing that i saw from Ikeke was a tall middleweight with decent speed that didn't use his height properly. Big difference between a fringe contender and an elite fighter..Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 03-30-2008, 11:46 AM.Comment
