I'm going to say Pavlik by UD, because if Abraham can survive the distance with Miranda, even after having his jaw broke, there's a good chance he'll last with Pavlik. But he'll be concentrating so much on defence that Kelly will outwork him.
Abraham vs. Pavlik

I'm really on the fence with this one, but I tend to agree with you on the outcome. AA takes too much time off in rounds. However he does it to preserve energy to make those lethal combos designed to rip the opponents head off. And when he tees off he is really dangerous. Questionmarks can be put on Pavliks chin as well and the chin is bound to be tested in this fight. In the end tho Pavliks higher work-rate might get him the decision. Forget a Pavlik KO. AA has a chin made of iron.Comment

It remains to be seen if pavlik would ko artie, but i think he can. either way arthur has fought a bunch of tomato cans, and failed to come close to destroying miranda like kelly did. it took him 12 rds to ko ayala. the same guy banks beat 2 times. arthur is a good fighter, but he is not on the level, pavlik will out work,, break him down, and give arthur a whoopin. if the fight happens i will bet anyone who wants it.Comment

Abraham has a solid chin,im going to go with Pavlik by UD,i think Abraham will give him his toughest fight, this isnt the wipeout the poll suggest,Arthur is a very good defensive and offensive fighter, with huge power, but saying that,he has fought bums who cant test his chin since the Miranda fightLast edited by bishop2006; 03-30-2008, 08:55 AM.Comment

Pavlik has one of the best chins in the sport and the only fighter to test Abrahams was Miranda, and he broke his jaw badly. Abraham showed that he is very tough by lasting throughout the fight but how many flush shots on the jaw can he take? Pavlik took Miranda's shots flush and was not seriously staggered one time. Abraham needs to prove himself against tougher opposition before he fights Pavlik because the odds are stacked against him here. He does not have the pure boxing ability nor the defense to withstand the offensive arsenal of Kelly Pavlik. I see him being broke down in stopped in the later rounds. In fact, i don't even think that it would be his toughest fight. Jermain Taylor in my opinion in the rematch did better than what Abraham will do because he is the much better boxer with the much better defense.AA can fight a very solid fight against Pavlik, but the question would be what would happen when Pavlik connects w/ a hard shot. If AA can take the punch and have it not effect him, then it'd be a close match (not saying AA would win) but if he shows any problems w/ his jaw after it was broken then it'll be a short night with him ending it on his back.
Pavlik has shown he doesn't exactly have an iron chin either though, and AA can definitely throw some bombs. I'd obviously favor Pavlik, but it wouldn't be some walk in the park,
