He won though. Sure he can be outboxed.
I think sparked is spot on. He carries his power late and doesn't need much room to get off.

Sure he can lose and get a boxing lesson from people, but he got the job done.
I think he proved his mettle before by going 7 rounds with a broken jaw with Miranda.

Germans love him of course. He's there fighter. Of course there will be bias.
Just let him come to the USA and get the business done fighting Pavlik.

He hasn't lost a fight yet....maybe he will, but he got the job done however crappy it looked.

No but he sure did carry him the 12.

Abraham was trying tonight. He couldn't stop him any earlier. I think Pavlik will eat this guy in the first few rounds.

Yeah, but you have to remember who it was against. Elvin Ayala did nothing to deserve a world title shot and is nowhere near world class.

On a side note the way the Germans greeted that Abraham win was a farce, acting like it was the biggest win ever, how embarrassing.

He goes into a defensive mode when the other guys is busy. Pavlik's workrate alone would keep AA from doing anything. He does have that all powerful eraser, though.

He hits harder than Taylor. You never know. He can lose rounds and still win.
Pavlik has tremendous heart but he's not iron chinned.
It could be a really good fight.

Germany is containing the sport within the country. Everything that matters about the sport is within that containment zone. It doesn't matter who you bring in to face their champions, the opponents wont be cross-checked. Every opponent is a threat to Germany holding the title. Within that zone, people believe boxing begins and ends.

Aside from Pavlik and Winky, Abraham is the only middleweight that matters. Everyone has an unimpressive performance once in awhile. Don't bury the guy.
