Even though I'm backing Joe against B-Hop, I've got to admit that he's not the best fighter from a technical standpoint. Low hands, balance issues, etc. He's very talented, has good reflexes, and that's where the slickness comes from. Speed and reflexes is why he can fight the way he does, ala Jones.

Of course man, he isn't the best technical fighter ever to lace up a pair of gloves, but to call him technically terrible is just weird. I disagree with balance issues. If his balance was bad he'd have been on the deck more than twice in his pro career, and he is comfortable dropping his hands. I think he does that to appear more confident against his opponents. I wouldn't do it myself, but he's comfortable doing it.

Still, my point was that I find it bizarre how someone can say he's technically terrible.

Well someone needs to give ''bad'' Chad a shot soon so he can get more recognition. I honestly see Dawson cleaning up the entire 175 LBS area. Hopkins will be a tough fight for Calzaghe and there is no guarantee that he will beat him so looking past Hopkins is something that he wouldn't want to do.

I see Calzaghe beating Pavlik by convincing decision. Too skilled, too slick, too fast and too good of a pure boxer for a guy with Pavlik's style but it won't be an easy fight. Taylor showed us that if you can keep the fight in the center of the ring and avoid the ropes, then you could out box him. Pavlik matching well against any slick boxer is something that i don't see happening. He should just stay at middleweight for as long as he can to accomplish most of his success down there because he will run into some problems at 168.

I am a fan of all of these fighters so i want to see all of them do well.

Yup, plus low hands are really a throwback to the old-timers who used it in order to be in punching position quicker. Another thing is that it invites fighters in so that he can counter them. That's why only the slcikest of the slick can do it...

I agree that he's not technically 'terrible'.

I dont see anyone big giving Dawson a shot especially a guy like Joe C who is wrapping up his undefeated career.

If Calzaghe beats Hopkins and if he fights Pavlik next, they need to play each other in Prizefighter (Xbox360 game comes out june 10th) at the press conference since they are both in it.

I think Calzaghe beats Pavlik though.

Not really, Pavlik has already fought better opponents then Calzaghe and how many times has he defended his title now? Oh yeah! ONCE....

What happened to Glen Johnson against Chad Dawson i think Johnson would win that fight 10 rounds to 2.
