You can slander boxing these days without overly offending anyone...hardly anyone is liable to even raise a complaint, the sport is so marginalized in the mainstream - team sports have become the norm. In this respect MMA could potentially become a boon to boxing, as it places the emphasis back on 1v1 competition (though this is speculative at best).
