seriously, even an old, reflex diminshed jones jr would pop silva in max 3. i'm sorry but come on. Seriously, boxer have practiced there profession for 20+ years. MMA have done 2 years of jui jitsu, 2 of kick boxing, of muy tai, of ping pong, of badminton... and they are all black belts and masters of the art...
i've been practicing karate for over 5 years and guess what, at 2 hours per day 4 days a week and i'm going for my first black belt in 3 months. i guess it took me so long because i suck and that i was not as gifted and dissiplines as thes beer belly MMA artists... MMA fighter could win with a lucky punch but hey, these wing there shots from left feild. no compact hooks and chucky ladell is tired after throwin 5 hooks. anyone can get knocked out with 4 ounce gloves. give a pair of those to a klitchko jones, mayweather, calzaghe, they'll kill you. it's all about technique. mma would beat boxer in a mma fight unless boxer nails him. i like the boxers chance in a mma fight 100% greater than an mma in boxing. why? technique. show a boxer how to sprawl and take away two take down attemps and graplers are winded. now i'd love to see a roy in front of a liddell grasping for his breath against the cage. sounds like a ko to the body to me. and as for sylvia with 10 ounce gloves hehe, i hope he'll do alot of sparring because holding six ounces more will tire his arms a hell of alot. Jones by KO in 3 why? because he'll play with him.

crazyness. I am split on whether I should be excited or dissapointed with this news. dissappointed for jones cuz he should be only taking the big name fights this late in his career and finish with a big ****. and excitement cuz this will settle alot of the arguments mma fighters and boxers have been having in the past year.

there are better strikers than silva in the mma but silva is considered to be the #1 p4p fighter in the world so no better representative for the mma in the boxing world. jones will make short work of this though.

and also, I predict a huge ppv draw. not to the extent of mayweather-dlh but pretty close IMO.

WTF? I wana see Chuck Lidell fight Silvia more than Rjj. I like the crossover between the sports, but lets be honest here. Silva is doing it to get paid and Jones will be doing it to slap MMA in the teeth. To anyone who gives Anderson Silva even the slightest of chances in this boxing match is dillusional. Silva vs. Lidell needs to be made and it will break all MMA PPV records. Dana needs to listen to me sooner or later. Jones needs to get ahold of Glenn Johnson after he beats Dawson. Or, fight Calzaghe. I mean fight the winner of the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight. LOL
