Maybe, if he could ever hit him. Which he wont. Do u think Silva will hit Roy on the chin when Trinidad couldnt? Get real. BTW, Pavlik is the best middleweight in the world and whipped Taylor after doing that little chicken dance in your profile pic.

This is the kind of **** Oscar should be doing. Roy knows he has already had his time, so now he is just going after fan friendly fights. He's not being an ass and tying up the best fighters with meaningless fights.

            Roy is the man.

Silva is a good MMA fighter, but a boxer?....RJ kills him. These MMA guys (most that I have watched) aren't very good at stand up fighting, most actually look like a green amatuer boxer.
Seriously. The guy got KO'ed by some tomato can in Brazil at a time RJJ was the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. I know Jones is older and no longer in is prime and perhaps Silva has improved since, but I don't think THAT much has changed.

No one should even exercise the idea of Jones losing.

Silva will get a beating in this fight.
THe media already said the bout would be ******. Everyone knows Roy Jones would whip his ass in boxing. Just like everyone knows Silva would domiante him in MMA.

Only the extremely uneducated worthless fans would put any meaning into this fight. Even if Silva somehow won by a miracle, it would be a fluke and everyone knows it.

Most MMA guys have horrible boxing, but there is more to striking then just boxing.

If Anderson was allowed to use kicks, elbows, clinch and knees, Roy would probably after to retire after the beating he takes. Silva would put him in the Thai Clinch, and destroy him like a little kid. People who have trained Mauy thai for decades still have trouble breaking a good clinch. No ref would step in to stop it either.

Boxing isn't the definitive striking art form. It's the best and most powerful way to turn your hands into a brutal weapon. In boxing, Roy beats Silva's ass all day long. But don't get it confused. Only in boxing does he have a chance.

Id' actually say he does have a chance in MMA, though not very good. All he has to do is catch someone coming in and it could be over in an instant and I think he has the quickness and power to do so. The opposite scenario of an MMA fighter catching a boxer is less likely, IMO.

I would never put money on Jones but I will say that I believe when it comes to crossing over the boxer has the better chance.

Don't get confused, he is definitely trying to get to the best fighters. He's already called them all out.
