Was Foreman hitting the crackpipe when...

He proclaimed that James Page was the P4P guy until he lost? I remember after a Mayweather fight, they were talking about Floyd putting himself in the same class as the De La Hoyas and Trinidads and whoever else was big back then, and then Foreman said something about a guy named Page who was the man until someone beat him.

Was he any good? I haven't really heard much about him, and his resume on boxrec doesn't really include any names that would get me excited. Can anyone explain what happened here?

He held a belt at welterweight at one point. His record was 25-2 when he won it. He retired shortly after. Check out his boxrec page, and tell me if you see anything that catches your attention. Maybe I missed something.

Foreman was known for making some bizarre claims and calls throughout his "esteemed" career as a broadcaster...

Probably just a textbook example of overhyping...not a rarity in boxing.

He had a highlight reel KO over Pestriaev.

But no, he was never p4p material and would have gotten beaten pretty bad by other WWs around that time like DLH, Trinidad, Mosley, and Quartey/

He was inactive for awhile due to some problems with King and got whupped by Six Heads Lewis.

Maybe Foreman just liked him because James Page was from Pittsburg, CA, in the East Bay, and Foreman used to live in the East Bay in Hayward.

            That's my guess.

Don't be an insensitive *******. Crack ******* is an epidemic in this country, especially in large cities and among ********** and the poor. Don't use "hitting the crackpipe" as synonomous with "saying something ******."

Once again, we should all thank kayjay for reminding us how serious the business is that goes on here.

Also, I would think that a drug that kills brain cells might be logically interchanged with ******, considering it causes ******ity.

The mods realized that no one else was willing to step up to be the chief of the moral police, so they had no choice but to reinstate him to bring down the hammer of justice for all the oppressed.
