that question doesn't make sense cuz how could you know what he is going to do in the future? lets say he decides to fight the big names at welter like cotto and mosley. you can't know how high he is gonna go. he is still not nearly as mainstream as guys like Ali, Tyson, de la hoya so there is still alot of room to grow.

if he decides to pack it up after dlh than he has peaked but, if he decides to continue, than he might still get more popular.

If he believes that he will become an A-list celebrity by doing Dancing With The Stars and WWE, then the answer is a resounding No.

If he believes that he can become an A-list celebrity by beating De La Hoya more decisively than moving on to Cotto and whoever else than the answer is YES. His star rose extremely high after knocking out Hatton on the big stage. A victory over Cotto will only further that.

Floyd Mayweather has to remember that he is a boxer first and all else second. The same way that the Williams Sisters are supposed to be tennis players first. Whenever you shy away from your niche your Star Status lowers.

How are we supposed to know virtually all of the stuff we discuss here? The point of this is that we're all just guessing. But I appreciate your concern. It's a total unknown where he goes. I guess the people who think Floyd will keep growing have been impressed with his leaps and bounds.. For me it has alot to do with his apparent rapport with the "suits." The business guys who call the shots. Floyd is down with the big boys. Impressively so..

Anyway it was on a larry king interview last week, him the Big Show, Vince Mcmahon, Chris something, and Triple H and he said in so many words that he would counter the big show's height reach and weight advantage with silky maneuvering and evasion tactics.
