Ali was the greatest heavy of them all , in his athletic prime he was poetry in motion with blinding speed and reflexes , the beginning of his decline as a fighter started with come backing Jerry Quarry all the way to dead man walking when he fought Holmes who he used to spank and make fun of as a long time sparring partner ,,, in Alis early career most hated him and bagged him just like they do now with Floyd , he is a coward , runner , he is scared to mix it bla bla ,,, then as he slowed later on he proved that he had one of the greatest chins in the history of heavyweight boxing ,,, as a young prime Ali would have had all those magic skills on the outside and with that chin and resolve on the inside , that seals it for me .

Prime Ali would do to any heavy in history what Floyd done to Baldy , if he was overpowered strength wise he would be on his toes for 12 rnds which is extremely rare in heavyweights , and if he wasnt overpowered he would get the KO or TKO as he would land near on at will all night , he was the Greatest

Lewis is one of the best English fighters ever, but he was very boring, and he did lost to some awful fighters whilst in his prime.

I couldnt consider Lewis the greatest of all time. He would have a good chance against any heavyweight. But also an opponent that had a half decent punch would have a chance of beating him!

He beat the best P4P fighters at the time Holyfield & Tyson will go down as Top 10 Heavyweight fighters and he beat both easily the first fight with Holyfield was robbery but he beat him by shutout the 2nd time. He also beat the best of the next generation of fighters in Vitali which even Ali couldn't do with Holmes, Ali lost to Norton & Frazier in his prime although they weren't bums.
He is a Top 5 HW fighter of all time I put him 3rd and his ranking will only rise with the passing of time.
lets not go overboard here. he wasnt ahead on points with mcall the first time. mcall seemed to get the better of it in the first round and knocked him out the next round. in the rematch he was a coked out mess and holyfield and tyson were shells of themselves when lewis fought them. lewis did beat other good opposition but not great. I'd put him between 6 and 10 as an all time great but not top 5

No I don't say Lewis wasn't good or such things. Just I think that if they fought in Tyson's prime I see the outcome of the fight littel bit different. And IMO Lewis was clever boxer but a littel bit borring. Look at his fight with Tua, Lewis was running for 12 rounds and winning by jab.

Lennox Lewis was a brilliant fighter in his day and much better than any of the current heavyweights however there is only one greatest and his name is Muhammed Ali. When he was in his prime nobody could touch him and he wasn't too bad after his prime either one of the few critisisms you could throw at him is that he kept boxing for too long.

Lewis is definatly a top 10 heavyweight of all time and pobably higher than that.
