i say yes, unlike most trainers he experienced the real thing. not all fighters become succesful trainers though, but mike has all the knowledge in the world, having been trained by perhaps the best boxing trainer there ever was. im sure that he has a lot of theories to pass along to other fighters, and could mould another offensive boxer close to what he himself was in his prime. besides tyson was never a slacker in training, he always came in supreme condidtion and would expect the same of his pupil. i dont care what other people say, but i feel that tyson belongs in the top ten list of all time great heavies, if not top 5.
this question came up before, and tyson answered that it would be too much responsibily for him to handle. but maybe if one guy came along, with the right chemistry a connection could be made, and tyson can again be welcomed into the boxing world and establish his greatness as a trainer.
he's not an old man, and down the road he might again find the desire to be involved in boxing again.
