This might be first good thread you've ever made.

And the answer is yes, I was thinking the other day how much I miss watching that guy fight.

diego was a true warrior, we need more fighters like him, he was definetly old school. i remember reading the news about his death, and i was shocked. at first i couldnt believe it, i had to actually recheck all the sources just to make sure it was the same chico.

old school fighters had defense (unless you mean the california featherweight scene of 70s by old school), and weighed in on the day of the fight. Hence Chico is not old school at all.

Other than that... He was very exciting and fought his heart out, so I definitely miss him.

old school fighters had defense? lol

a handful but the majority fought so many fights like 30 a year and many fought phone booth style getting hit making them get cauliflower ears.

They had defense exactly because they were fighting 10+ fights a year. (

(Almost none of the top fighters fought 30 fights a year since World War II)

getting dropped twice and seconds later coming to end the fight in the very same round is old school.

I think it's exciting, but what's old school about it?
