He's fighting Robert Hawkins next month I think....Hawkins just shut out Dominick Guinn, he is a big, strong, durable heavyweight that went the distance with big punchers like Tua and Peter without going down.

With that being said, Boytsov should have no troubles with this guy and win easily, he is still only 21 years old for christ sakes, he is gonna step up the competition.

i'll be surprised if he stops hawkins, and beating guinn basically means nothing at this point, though it may sound nice.

boytsov may turn out to be a good fighter but he certainly hasnt proven more than the top cruiserweights. furthermore the top cruisers are physically bigger than boytsov they just keep their weight down to make 200.

well you just answered your question why no one mentioned him. this is why: he has yet to step up in competition. no need to turn it into a race issue out of a blue. we were talking about champions and proven guys in their respective divisions, there are tons more contenders and prospects out there, but they have yet to make a name for themselves. boytsov is young and conditioned but we havent seen him face anyone of consequence. just because he's 21 years old it's no excuse. mike tyson at 19 already fought ranked guys to get into elimination tournament, by 20 he became the youngest heavyweight champion, by 21 he was an undisputed world champion and a public figure defending his title in japan and so forth. boytsov has had already 20 fights, he's taking it very soft.

This is the re-birth of the division. Haye is going up there, Banks is going up there, and idk if u guys remember but there was a fantastic looking cruiserweight a little while ago that had no trouble knocking out Kelvin Davis in the first round. That guy will eventually move up as well.

THATS a good division, those 3 guys alone are gonna make for a lot of excitement. Cannot wait
dont forget about Aaron Williams. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GZe90vZLdrA http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...7748&cat=boxer
he comes into his fights pretty heavy, altho personally I think he would fit better at Cruiserweight...but I guess almost all Cruiserweights want to move up to Heavy eventually, as long as theyre over 190 lbs most the time.

and Wlad Owns, maybe Boytsov is going to be far better than these guys movin up to heavy...maybe not. but you cant have a division with just one good guy, or else it will be like the one we have today...with old timers like Ruiz still around left and right, and the only real good, impressive guy in the division is Wladimir...not very exciting.
and you cant really give me that the Cruiserweights are too small either. Ibragimov, Chagaev, Chambers, Povetkin...all these guys could make Cruiserweight if they really wanted to, and theyre all doing fine at Heavy, to say the least.
so we should keep an eye out for these guys along with guys like Boytsov.

Banks is good has good power maybe not as much as Haye, He has quick hands and skill, As Haye is moving up Banks should be fighting for the Vacant WBO title. If Banks wins that and at some point wlad gets knocked out again i think at that point banks will move up. Boystov looks good but i think he fights in the wrong style for such a short heavyweight his stand up style is gonna do him no favors against the tall heavyweights. Banks is taller than Boystov.

It’s too bad the cruiserweight division has become not much more than the testing ground for smaller heavyweights. I understand the heavyweight division is always going to be the glamour (read: the division where you can potentially make the most money) but I wish more of the better boxers would stay in it. I’m not sure what the answer is though. Do you increase the weight limit for the cruisers? Do you add a super-heavyweight division? Or is there nothing that that can be done and this is just the way it is?

get rid of cruiserweight and allow those fit 190lb guys to Ko those over weight guys like sultan and chambers. Although Cruiserweight produces some great fights.

Everyone's dream is to be Heavyweight champion of the world. Most CW's are there just as a stop on their goal to be called "the most feared man on the planet."

Denis Boytsov is a top heavyweight prospect and a future champ, you don't see him getting talked about on here because he is not American....don't waste your time getting your hopes up for the next great American heavyweight, they will let you down in the end....Eastern Europeans run the show in the heavyweight division and that ain't gonna change for a long time.
You know what you can do, go to another ****ing board. One where they talk about the Eurpoean HW's. Otherwise stop bitching.
