Well going by what I saw on the H.B.O. Countdown to De La Hoya v.s. Mayweather.........he wasn't loafing around in training.

lmfao he was busting his ass running, and doing gym work all day long.

No suprise seeing as Jim Bagg hates Mayweather (assuming thats him that wrote this. Pretty sure it is).

i'm not saying that he was jerkin off and taking time off.

He would be ****** to do that, and Oscar isn't THAT ******. Especially against Mr. Mayweather.

But I can guarantee he sure as hell didn't train the way he did even 5 years earlier when he was still on the comeup.

You'll see Pavlik's performances drop in the next few years. Watch.

          Yeah, well that's possible.

But I'd also hazard to guess his training habits aren't the only factors involved with his slight decline as a fighter. That's also due to his fluxuation in body weight as well as history of fights.

And yeah I realize he fights in his own version of a defensive shell........part of the American Boxer/Mexican Fighter hybrid. But he still absorbs punishment and has taken some damage throughout history.

Also his physical toughness always flies right under the ****ing radar.

in my mind oscar is a much tougher test than cotto. Cotto is smaller, makes alot more mistakes, and has the kind of style mayweather likes to work with.

Whereas oscar is a bit smarter, and applies smart pressure, and is a bit elusive, the problem is he fades.

But the fans want mayweather-cotto, and i want mayweather-cotto.
Il stop being a fan, when he doesnt fight cotto.

It was written by Ivan Goldman, Bagg's arch-enemy.

Because the version of De La Hoya that Mayweather did in fact fight......was probably the best one we've seen in years.

And a De La Hoya at 85-90% is still a better fighter than Miguel Cotto and I'd say tougher test because of his ring experience.
I agree with every word. ^

                  .
Oscar doesn't fade, lol he comes on strong in the late rounds.

The only times he's ever faded were against Trinidad and Hopkins.

Floyd blows through Cotto the way he did Hatton. Oscar is DEFINITELY the tougher fight. I can't wait until September for the long anticipated rematch

                      Word.

                      Oscar is tough as nails.

I think it's cause he comes across as a little *****. That ****in' boyish smile and the good looks....

You think the guy is just some phoney weak ass little slickster.

But he sure as hell can fight and has got some cahuna's.

I still dont respect what he did with Hopkins though.
