McClellan was leading on points (majority decision) but Benn was coming on in the fight and could have won a decision had he taken the last three rounds.

    It was a great fight.

He wasnt that great as a fighter. Average at best. This was shown when Benn beat the **** out of him. Kinda ironic how he ended up like his dogs. Cruelty to animals is wrong.

Benn is also the second greatest British boxer behind Hamed.
First of all Benn was getting his ass handed to him in that fight. 2nd, Nigel Benn was in the ring with McClellan when his brain gave out but the truth is it was going to happen in one fight or another. It's not like Benn was that devastating a puncher. That fight made him. If it wasn't for McClellan's brain injury he would have won the fight and Benn would be a nobody right now. So would Eubank since the best thing he ever did was beat Benn. So if you want to get technical neither one of them are anything special, like most of the British fighters. Like you will see in April When Calzaghe gets his ass handed to him.

The 2 knock downs for McClellan made it pretty even, while Benn was winning more rounds. Who knows how it would have gone had the fight continued.

never trust ya tongue when ya heart is bitter!

And by the way, the fight would've been stopped in the U.S. when G-Man knocked Benn through the ropes! Only on home soil would Benn have been allowed to continue! And dont get it twisted, Benn is one of my all-time favs! What happened to G-Man is unfortunate, and its not like a REAL boxing fan to glorify a ring tragedy!!! This thread aint cool bro'!!!

It's 20 seconds when you get knocked out of the ring.

well I think Benns best win was over Mccllelan but he had a good win over Barkley. Eubanks best win was over Watson easily Watson was the best fighter out of all of them, shame what happened to him.

Benn was a better fighter than Watson & Eubank after his losses when he started working with Jimmy Tibbs

Watson got taught a Boxing lesson by Mike McCallum

lmfao. Lennox Lewis, Joe Calzaghe, Jimmy Wilde, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Ricky Hatton, Randy Turpin, Barry Mcguigan, all better than Hamed. Haye will join that list if he is successful at heavyweight.
