Second Worst British World Champ
Really not impressed with Kotelink, the fact it took him 12 rounds to beat a 5ft 3inc fighter who should have been stopped much earlier said lots about him. Kotelink is now just part of the merry go round light welter weight division and is only in the second tier along with Vivian Harris, Lovemore Ndou, Herman Ngoudjo or even Juan Urango. I felt he was far to cautious and is an oppenent who it would be difficult to look good against so cannot see him fighting Hatton or Witter as there is only another alphabet soup title to get from it not any real respect or even money.
As for Gavin Rees I am sure it is the last we will see of him at championship level, he had a good chin and lots of heart but very little else.
I would put him in 2nd place in the list of worst British world champions with only Michael Bent ahead and Steve Robinson in 3rd.
