All the big bars in the NY area were playing the fight, and theres a bar right down the street from where i live that was playing the fight as well and it was packed with whites like it always is for big fights, including UFC and MMA fights as well

yea thats ture. And if you go to ESPN.com MMA isnt even on the front page. u have to go the boxing page before u can get to the MMA page.

The reason for that is because nobody cares about the MMA page, nobody goes to it. Its sad because MMA is a good and enjoyable sport

MMA gets old after a while. I was really big on it for a while, but I just stopped caring eventually. mma matches never look that great, because in the end theyre all just average at what they do. You dont get to see the best wrestlers in the world wrestle, you dont get to see the best boxers on the world box. most the time, you end up with grapplers that end up trying to box each other, and it ends up looking terrible, especially if youre used to such a high level boxing is at.

Ill watch it occasionally and everything, but in the end, watching stuff like Olympic level wrestling and World class boxing makes all the guys in mma look pretty amateruish. plus, its practically random as to who wins a fight, because mostly its decided by the guy who messes up first.

the only thing that irks me about mma fans is that most of them watch it to see stand up fighting. mma fighters dont even have good striking, unless you count Anderson Silva beating up on someone who is completely out of his league in striking because theyre grapplers in reality, and thats really like seeing a champion fighting a weak title defence and easily shutting him out. the only reason i would really watch mma is to see the ground game, really. and yet a lot of mma fans call that part of mma boring...dont get it.

hellllls no im not leaving boxing, boxing is a billion times better then MMA IMO, but MMA isnt that bad either. It can be exciting sometimes.

What i dont understand though, is how u can wait months for these MMA events when they never last more then a couple of minutes. I mean, is it really worth it???

And any MMA fight that goes the distance is a bad fight. Ive rarely seen a good MMA fight that goes to the scorecards. That lidell fight a little while ago was exciting though, and that went to the cards

You go to the regular bars! In California the Bars are way out of your blue collar type bars...they are hip and trendy with all the hottest bimbo chicks and strippers going there, there are a few bars here with **** chicks that always come by to watch ufc.

Thats how you know UFC is the cool thing when **** stars, dirt bikers, skaters, frat boys and tattoo white boys watch it...

i dont understand what your goal is regarding this. you're saying UFC is making big bucks yet, a decent boxer makes alot more money than a UFC fighter. Are you boasting about the UFC management making alot of money? I dont understand. and again, WHY does boxing need to compete with UFC and WHY does it need to have a share fo the white audience again? Please explain.
