thats what they do in the UFC and it works wonders, they buy into everything dana white says they take his word, especially when he tells white america Boxing is dead and only big amongst latin america...he also built up white champions...if ufc was mainly foreigners and blacks and latinos first it would never be as friendly to the middle america as it is now, heck it would be probally looked at as the most savage evil sport and they would have it banned right off the bat.

See in Boxing White guys were getting beat up and it made white teens feel inferior like they couldnt fight, now with the ufc they see whites dominating in wrestling and it makes them feel tough now finally they can walk around as bad asses because now you can grapple a guy and be consider a tough fighter.

Domains theory is dog **** because UFC fighters make chicken feed compared to world class boxers.

Who gives a **** if Zuffa and Dana White are getting rich, fighters are the ones who should be getting the lions share. If I remember correctly Oscar was #2 on the forbes list of highest paid athletes and Floyd Mayweather wasnt far behind.

I could give a **** if they sell 200 million more PPV then Boxing you still see the top P4P MMA fighter calling out boxers because he makes peanuts.

Quit comparing the sports domain they both have appealing aspects to them, I prefer boxing but MMA has its place.

I agree the fighters aint getting paid what they deserve in UFC but that doesnt discredit my point, because the PPV buys dont lie!

and to top it off MMA is on Network TV like crazy now! pretty soon ABC will jump on the wagon...And now HBO is hoping on with goldenboy by next year they will do a few mma fights.

PPV buys dont lie and Boxing did better then MMA in PPV buys. HBO boxing alone almost outdid MMA.

And MMA is on network TV like crazy??? LOL. It has 4 saturdays A YEAR on CBS and a 2 AM time slot that hardly anybody watches. Yup, thats a crazy amount of time on the Networks.

When GoldenBoy gets boxing on Network TV, they will do it right. They will probably get a monthly show, 12 times a year, prime time, Saturday nights. They know what they are doing

Thats great that MMA got on network tv, have you noticed that HBO has stepped up and gave us fights like

                Hopkins vs Calzaghe
                Margarito vs Cintron
                Delahoya vs Forbes
                Cotto vs Gomez
                Pavlik vs TBA

                all free on HBO

Boxing has really stepped up its game the past year I really can't remember a time when so many great fights were being made. Plus lets not forget that sleeze ball Gary Shaw was behind the deal on CBS and he said he would try to also get boxing on network TV.

Boxing is greedy, they only want ppv quick money cause the promoters are old already they dont care for the legacy and longstanding of the sport, they are content with there 3-5 million from ppv they maybe make 25 million a year from ppvs combined so thats good enough money for promoters thats still big dollars.

ya boxing stepped up its game, to the same old market! they havent reached a new market at all...until they can grab the younger generation or at least a good percentage of a new generation its not looking good for the sport in the longrun.

how can you say boxing is greedy when UFC fighters dont even get paid half of what established boxers do? that makes no sense. to say that boxing promoters are greedy, yet they pay fighters MORE than what dana White pays HIS fighters, yet you say UFC is making WAY more than Boxing.....................does not compute.
