Pavlik deserves to defend his middleweight title for as long as he can effectively stay at the weight. He's young and he's only a divisional champ, there's no need to ask him to go after fights in higher weight classes.

I think he'd lose at SMW and LHW, but if he can make 160 he has the right not to do so.

Abraham will give Pavlik the toughest fight of his career, I knew from the beginning the all the other fights people were saying wouldn't beat Pavlik and I can bring my quotes as an evidence, but I have always said Abraham's style is good enough to give Pavlik a tough fight and even beat him by UD. Styles make fights

I like Abraham a lot. His defense is insane but lately his punch output has been less and less. Actually, I feel that Abraham has a tighter guard than Winky, it's just that he isn't as good fighting back when he covers up. Winky always jabs you hard when you unload on his high guard.

I like Arthur Abraham too - he has a good combination of power and skills. But he's a step below Pavlik, and if the ever fight, the outcome won't be in doubt. Compare Pavlik vs. Miranda and Abraham vs. Miranda.

From what I've seen, Joe Greene is for real, he's very talented and unlike the overhyped Irishmen Duddy and Lee, he will be a real force at middleweight.

Greene will be Pavlik's toughest challenge, wait and see.

Hey, you may be right. I've only seen highlights of Green but he looks technically solid with enough aggression and a little bit of mean spirit in him.

I just don;t understand why he is going down to 154, are there better match-ups out there for him?

Arthur Abraham is our last hope. If he doesn't beat Pavlik then the MW champ will remain as champ for a while.

But maybe Vanes will eventually move up from 154 and become a force at middleweight.

Vanes Martirosyan will dominate the light middleweight division before he moves up and dominates the middleweight division.
