It looks like Arthur Abraham is the last man standing...

It now looks like Abaram is the only fight @ 160 who can beat Pavlik with in the next 2 years at least. This division is looking real dry ...

At least people can't complain about Pavlik fighting Lockett now, he is probably better than Lee and Duddy.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Lockett beat Pavlik...

Abraham is the only good fight left, perhaps Felix Sturm and Winky Wright as well if they step up and demand a fight against Pavlik.

I hope we won't get to see Pavlik beat up on mandatory challengers at MW but rather go up in weight to SMW after he has defeated Abraham and fight top contenders like Kessler and Bute, then move up to LHW and challenge the big names (RJJ, B-Hop, Calzaghe).

I know what you're saying but staying at middleweight longer and beating the fighters in front of him would cement his legacy. After all, that's how Hopkins did it. And Bhop for the majority of time was fighting small guys at middleweight. The bigger guys that I remember him fighting were Howard Eastman and Jermain Taylor.

It's all speculative because Glen Johnson at 5 10/11 made a successful jump to lhw and is has been amongst the elite there for 3,4 years now. I don't see much difference in their styles. I know that Kelly is the harder puncher at 160 and maybe Glen has the better chin. Well, there is a difference in their styles but they are pretty much in your face fighters who apply a ton of pressure and bruise you hard every single round.

Most of the LHW's would still be shorter than him except Tarver and Dawson who are both 6'3.

Pavlik is 6'2, Hopkins is 6'1, RJJ is 5'11, Johnson is 5'11, Calzaghe is 5'11.

I just wonder if his build will be suitable (he looks like a stick at MW, it's possible that he would be stronger at LHW), will his chin & power hold up...

That's exactly why I don't want to see Pavlik stay at MW.
Pavlik should pursue all the challenges that are out there (Kessler, Calzaghe, Hopkins, Dawson...), Hopkins had to wait for 10 years. I don't see Pavlik having that kind of longevity.

I agree but if Pavlik has 5 more fights at middleweight against guys like Abraham and Winky and some lesser fighter, at the end of his career Pavlik will arguably have a better resume than Hopkins, and Hopkins is considered one of the best ever at middleweight.

Is he going to wait for Danny Jacobs? Or Joe Greene?
