What if anything @ 147 makes you think that Mayweather can knock out Cotto?
If he does win it will be by a decision.
Mayweather would brake his hand on Cotto's noggin before knocking him out.
Anyway, yup.. we have to wait and see.
To me it is a toss up and I laugh when people are so confident that Mayweather will run right through him especially after barely edging out a SD against DLH.
I can't wait for this fight.. sadly, we might have to wait a year or two for this.


That's fine with me though now that I think about it, Mayweather has been in the game 6 years longer and is 3 years older then Cotto.. It only gives Cotto an age advantage.

if cotto and mayweather do actually get a fight it will more than likely be a decision.

i think cotto's best chances are to **** to mayweather's body early and often to bring him down to cotto's speed and i think cotto can land some good punches in but to be honest its going to go to the scorecards...

i cant really see either fighter getting knocked out.

why?

mayweather is too smooth in the ring and his defense is too tight for him to allow cotto to land a high amount of hard punches to get that knockout (cotto is a volume knockout fighter...no a one punch knockout fighter). I think the only way cotto gets a knockout is by a liver shot to the body...but i dont think it would be a headshot to put mayweather away...it would need to be similar to the hatton/castillo fight (body shot to win for hatton) or hopkins/de la hoya (body shot to win for hopkins)...its not going to be anything crazy like mayweather's check hook to knock ricky's head into the corner of the ring...if someone thinks its going to be huge like that they must really be on that crack *******.

and cotto should be able to handle mayweather's punches (he doesnt have a tremendous amount of power and he stood up to mosley's hard punches rather well for the most part). Only way cotto gets knocked out (i think) is if cotto gets careless (like hatton did) and allow mayweather to land at a high percentage.
