I actually like Floyd and have stood up for him before when it comes to boxing. Your right the boxing game and promoters have used fighters many times and Floyd is doing the smart thing in getting the best he can. It's worked for him as he is ****** rich. It just bothers me that Floyd seems just to care about money. He's become the typical american athlete where money matters the most and the love of the game is forgotten. Im not hating on him for making money, it's just like you said he cares about himself and then everybody next. It's just that money shouldn't get in the way of stuff like family, which in Floyd's case seems like has happened.

This recent thing with Roger almost blew up because of money and it seemed Floyd was more worried about making that cash instead letting his uncle get some extra change himself. Your right about Floyd's situation with his mom and dad, but i've heard Floyd Sr. say stuff that money has gone to Floyd's head. It's not the sole problem between the two, but it's another one to add to the equation. I guess in the end it just bother's me that everytime I read about Floyd or see an interview it's usually about money. It just gets old after a while.Comment

i liked the article..
esp the part when he says.. that PBF was the 50 cent of boxing..
50 cent, well everything he touches is gold. clothing line, music ect
but PBF should wanna be the rakim of boxing.. rakim was a great rapper.. rapped about **** that people could relate too..
its a good comparison.. good points that should be brought up again..Comment

well yes between Floyd's own claims and what's said on here, the money aspect can only be said so many times before we get the idea.
and I wouldn't consider being the 50 Cent of boxing a good thing.
the worst part of this all, is the fact that if Floyd loses in September to DLH, it could lead to a 3rd fight.
and no I didn't bring up A-Rod as comparison of attitudes with Mayweather (how A-Rod chooses not to make it reign while Floyd does)
I brought up A-Rod cuz he makes over 200 Mill. think about that for a second, $100 Mill is enough as is, but double that and we're talking some serious cheddar. probably enough to buy a 3rd world country or 2.
back to Floyd yea he is worrying about his bank account and doing thing's the smart way, by making as much $ as possible.
but if boxing "could be destroy by one fight" and is so risky to his health .. why fight at all? the amount of money Mayweather could make promotionally, with movies, music etc could be much more worthwhile, not to mention less taxing on his health then boxing.
Yes I know Floyd's made comments regarding his career is like a "cops" in that 1 shot could end his career .. and there is absolute truth to it.
boxers have died and or got seriously hurt so that comment by Floyd does have legitimacy to it.
Im just saying if he's the recognized Pound for Pound #1 why not go out and try to prove it?
but that day will probably never happen so comparing him to Rakim, Biggie, anyone is really a waste of time.
the only thing that would realistically work, is if The Ring replaced Floyd with Manny as Pound for Pound #1.
How can Floyd call himself the Universally Recognized Best Fighter if someone else is in his spot?
pointing out the obvious, like the fact that Floyd is rich, has lots of money, and wants more money really does nothing because it's been made so abundantly clear from 24/7, interviews and behavior.Comment
