ok, I'm not talking about williams PUTTING ON weight. I'm talking about him fighting at his natural weight. fighters usually have the most 'POP' in their punch at their natural weight and if I remember correctly, williams was like 164 against quintana on fight night.

I think Williams will finally realise that his height is a major advantage and will use his jab properly instead of flicking it out. He also needs to develop his stright right, he has a lot of height which he can use as leverage much like Hearns did. He needs to not fight on the inside like he is prone to do he's a decent inside fighter but it is not in his interests to do so.

He needs to improve majorly but i expect him to beat Quintana this time.

Oh snap!!! there is a Quintana/Williams II ??? When??? Damn, where have I been!

Alot of people don't give Carlos Quintana enough credit, that dude can box!!! The power is there too. Not really "one-punch-knock-out" power, but enough to keep opponents at bay. His Southpaw style can be confusing, even if the the opponent is Southpaw too! I think Paul Williams can not stay at 147 for long. The dude is giving away too much. His height, reach, and overwhelmingly high work rate advantage, won't mean much if his stamina level drops because of weight drainage. The only dudes Williams gotta really worry about at 154 is....

        1) De La Hoya
        2) Cory Spinks
        3) Vernon Forrest

There's this German kid, Sergei Dzindziruk, yo this kid is good!! Southpaw too. I'd like to see Williams against this kid. In only 13 professional fights, already won a major world title (WBO Junior Middle).

Truth is Paul Williams will eventually have to follow what Thomas Hearns had to....

moving from Welter to middle weight. At 6'1'', Hearns proved you can't be that tall and stay at Welter too long.

I think it's time for Pwill to move north of the division. He's too big for 147.

I think it can be different, if Paul can make some adjustments.
