Worst Stoppage of All Time!!!

I feel this stoppage could be a blessing in disguise for Lee's career. Lee should have taken out Vera early and he didn't. He lost via BS stoppage. Now, the hype is gone, everybody will line up to fight him, and hopefully he'll show us that he's better than tonight cause if that's all he's got... it just isn't good enough. Besides, he'll always know that he didn't get stopped, the referee stopped it.

Lee was wobbling all over the ring in the 7th. Lee didn't beat up on Vira in any other round they way Vira did on him. I was routing for Vira, I always love seeing the underdog win, especially when Lee def could have won if he fought smarter. Sorry Lee, this isn't the amaturs anymore, you don't have headgear.

I think the problem was the ref let the fight go a little too long with Lee taking a brutal ass beating, he should have stopped it earlier and nobody would have complained.

The thing is you have to look at the whole round and all those clean hard punches Lee was hit with, sure looking at the last 10 seconds with Lee throwing those two combinations makes it look as a premature stoppage. The truth though is the Lee had been out on his feet and was taking clean hard shots over and over.

A brutal ass beating,winning every round but then getting stunned and taking shots is a brutal beating? I dont see how it is,he was getting hit,but it was the first time in the fight he was actually losing the round,he was in the middle of throwing back

I agree that it was a bad stoppage, but at the same time Lee was taking punishment and almost to the point of too much. If Manny was ok with it then I won't complain. I just hope Lee went into this fight overconfident, because he has the skills to be good. He was on the fast track to get meaninful fights, now with this it's going to set him back a ways.

That was another bad one because Manfredo wasn't hurt, but it was a mismatch and Joe would have easily won anyway.

Vera did a good job of neutralizing Lee's right hook and forcing Lee to use his left hand. It was a bad stoppage, but what can Lee or Stewart do about it? That L will be on Lee's record, but Lee should beat Vera if they have rematch.
