Now a rematch with Hatton won't do numbers at all I agree with you on that. **** it seems to me he wanted to fight Cotto at 140 but was turned down. Although I agree they should be fighting now I guess **** is ****ed up because Cotto is pursuing the fight now and PBF is saying no now They both are wrong Cotto for back then and PBF for right now. PBF vs Cotto would be the biggest fight for boxing FANS not for casual people and half ass fans.
Mayweather/Cotto would clearly be the bigger draw. Do you actually think that the fans would want to see a rematch between Mayweather and Oscar over Mayweather/Cotto? That fight was garbage. in the first place and everyone expected Mayweather to win. Oscar and Mayweather just did a fantastic job on the build up itself and hyping the fight. Cotto/Mayweather is a 50/50 match and the odds will be even. It also had all of the recipe for an exciting fight similar to Whitaker/Chavez Lenard/Duran ect.

That is what this entire thread is about. An honest fan admitting that he would rather see Mayweather/Cotto. What more proof do you need?

The only thing known for sure about Floyd is that money is paramount and whoever will be a catalyst in making him the most money is where his head is.

Hatton, DLH is proof of that. NOT proof that he is afraid of Miguel Cotto.

I have to disagree with you... go ask a casual boxing fan... who miguel cotto is... they wont know...

THEY DO KNOW... who oscar de la hoya is.....

see to me, and you, and the whole forum, mayweather cotto is WAY bigger than floyd - oscar....

But.... (the rocks voice) "To the MILLIONS..... AND MILLIONS!!!!"

people just dont know cotto yet.... they do... but not to the extent of a household name like tyson, ali, and de la hoya...

and i bet when the 24/7's start rollin around... with floyds dad training the other guy and the story lines and everything.. people will buy it... not a doubt in my mind...

and as long as floyd fights... it will never be 50/50

he will be the heavy favorite no matter who he fights... especially in the eyes of the casual fan

            nah, not so true..

in late 2005-early 06 Maragrito would have made him the most money. he chose Mitchell and Judah for lot less.....

he has made less to fight easier oposition.

A mixture of disappointment and unease right now. Maybe irritation. I was a bit surprised at the Oscar rematch, but I didn't mind too much. Then came the WWE thing...now the threat to sack Roger. He should learn to keep his mouth shut a bit -it doesn't look good. I get the feeling it's all going to implode for pbf. Still a big fan, but he doesn't make it easy.
