I think Pacquiao's punch resistance has gotten better as he's moved up in weight as he's less weakened by making weight and probably has stronger legs.

Similar thing with DLH having chin questions early in his career due to the Campanella and Valenzuela fights, and showing a very good chin as he's moved up.

Pacquiao was dropped and badly hurt by a jab from Nedal Hussein, but stood up to some good shots from Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. Holyfield was dropped and hurt by guys like Cooper and Ruiz but never dropped by the uppercuts (or straight rights) of Lewis, or Tyson as well.

Boxing's weird like that sometimes. Doesn't always make the most sense.

When pacman was dropped at his first fight at 126 by that russian guy from a left hook he shook it off he was a bit wobbly but he recovered pretty fast and finished the guy in the next round.

I was wondering the same thing with the morales wars, morales was hitting him hard with straights the same straight morales dropped the bigger david diaz down with he couldnt drop pacman with. In the 3rd fight morales kept coming back one point he threw 3 straight punches down the middle all hitting pacman clean on the face but pacman just kept coming.

When JMM got knocked down by a punch that looked like an arm punch with no real force behind it does that mean his chin is suspect? but he has amazing recovery in my opinion.

i think it was just the conditions of that punch. you're more vulnerable to a KO when you arent expecting it. Pac landed ALOT more heavier, power shots than that during the fight.

Pacquiao's chin is one of the most underrated in boxing. He took the best shots of the best fighters in his divisions whom prepared one or two months more than him.

Pacquiao's more aggresive when he's tagged so i guess it negates the supposed momentum of his opponent.

Pac could just take a punch really well...He got tagged by Marquez a lot of times but Juanita couldn't just put him down but it only takes one left to floor Dinamita...

We can't say that JMM recovered from that punch. Pacquiao almost knocked him down again, but he held the ropes. Maybe he was still dizzy?
