Well, as a boxing fan for a little over a year and a half, I personally didn't know who Mayweather was until his with Oscar on May 5th, 2007. Since that fight with well known Oscar de la Hoya, his role in a highly watched TV reality series, and his last fight against another undefeated fighter, Floyd's presence has undeniably made his way into mainstream. And he will only garner more attention among wrestling fans at Wrestlemania. I heard he was the second highest paid athlete in the world at this moment. He is making A LOT, A LOT of money...

But if it was all Oscar's doing, then the same could be said true for every other person that fought Oscar.
Hopkins
Mosely
Vargas
etc.
None of those guys have nearly as much exposure as Floyd does. I admit Oscar opened the door, but Floyd is taking advantage of that opportunity, which cannot be said for any of the others.Comment
