You misunderstood. I didn't say that he was a champ for years but the man to beat for years to come.

If Joe is getting tagged too much he will adjust his game plan and counter punch instead, Joe is probably the smarted fighter Hopkins will have fought too.
So what? That's where all you guys a wrong. Size doesn't win fights. Skill does. Hopkins has fought tons of guys as skilled as Joe including Winky Wright. All these Calzaghe fans cry about Winky being 5 pounds over weight when Hopkins beat him like that really matters. You see what that fat **** James Toney can do when he's about 100 pounds over weight? That should tell you all you need to know about what a few pounds means to the truly elite. Joe is going to get his ass handed to him in April and I can't wait because you Brits and Calzaghe fans should have demanded much more from your fighter and sooner.

Great fighters hide such things, you have never seen Hop show tiredness in a fight whether he is or not, thats a psychological thing that works to your advantage when you can hide it, same as getting hit by a punch that hurt you, if your opponent doesnt know its better for you. Mark my words, Hopkins ain't losing to a white boy.
Calzaghe ain't losing to a boy, period!

Eastman tried it, Winky tried it, so Ive already seen the Calzaghe fight years in advance. Hopkins studies fighters to a tee and knows what they like to do, he waits and waits to see if youre going to do something that you dont normally do. If youre a come forward fighter like Calzaghe but when youre in the ring with Hopkins and you arnt coming forward, he knows right there that youre doing something you dont normally do and youre falling into his plans by not sticking to what you normally do. Winky realized this and came forward like he always does but it didnt matter, Hopkins used angles to beat Winky which worked because Winky doesnt move as well laterally and also because Winky is a natural right hander, he wont do everything like a natural left handed person would therefore he will make mistakes. Hopefully Hopkins will get credit from his normal detractors for this fight and no one will be saying Calzaghe was coming up in weight and disadvantaged.

thats because most people rather root for something that is fan friendly or "exciting"
and most those people don't understand the sweet science of boxing

it kinda of like the in the nba, everybody loves phoenix because they look good but they are missing a big thing in there and thats why they won't win a championship. you figure it out

I have learnt boxing, your point about RJJ beating Calzaghe is moot as Hopkins didn't beat him either. Calzaghe makes alot of "mistakes" he comes forward leaves his chin open but the thing is his chin is granite and he comes forward throught punches. Hopkins at 43 doesn't have the level of stamina he once had reagrdless whether he is still a great fighter.
Calzaghe thrrew 1010 punches against Lacy and he didn't look even a little tired, this plays out to calzaghe's advantage obviously. Hopkins will try to counter and may tag him hard a few times in the fight but Kessler who isn't as smart as Hopkins but is mor eathletic at this stage couldn't tag him coming in and didn't have the power to stop him neither will Hopkins. Taylor had a come forward style and he "beat" Hopkins barely Calzaghe who is much better that Taylor will do the same but with a wider margin.
