Floyd was asked about a fight with Cotto, and his answer was: "im not calling out any WW's. I've done what i've had to do in the sport of boxing. Now its time for me to take a break. Boxing isnt going to retire me, im going to retire from boxing"

Floyd was asked about a possible rematch with Hatton, and his answer was: "We don't know what the future holds, anything is possible. Is it possible? Absolutely," he told Sky Sports News when asked about potential bouts against Hatton or De La Hoya

Honestly I could see him taking a pacquiao match before a hatton rematch, but who knows.

The thing is, he can CONTINUE to make those paydays while still fighting the fights that the boxing world is calling for him to make. Floyd will make around $12-15mil to fight Cotto. If that's not what u would consider a payday, then i dont know what to tell u . He will kill 3 birds with 1 stone. Make his paper, shut up all his critics, and solidify his place in the WW division.

i honestly dont have a problem with him fighting Hatton as long as he's taken off the #1 p4p spot and his fanatics stop calling him the best in the world because he isnt conducting himself like the best fighter in the world. bull**** fight after bull**** fight.

Calm down my nicca.... Its getting rather hard to find justification for some of his moves he has decided to make. I feel ya....he needs to fight Cotto to claim that best role IMO. That will clear any doubt that one may have about his abilities.
