I agree. I'm a fan also but he has to cut that **** out. He needs to fight Cotto IMO. He doesnt have **** to prove against Hatton. He beat him convincingly. There is no need to rematch Hatton. I dont see a big problem with him fight Oscar a second time because of the split decision( Which I really dont agree with) That will clear up any doubt that some critics may have. Correct me if I'm wrong but you've had some poster to even say Oscar was robbed.

That is garbage. No one wants to see either of those again. Give us Mayweather/Cotto.

I can't even justify a second hatton fight.

          BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Positive thinking: Though he did say anything was open...that must mean cotto right?

          I know I know...

Floyd was asked about a fight with Cotto, and his answer was: "im not calling out any WW's. I've done what i've had to do in the sport of boxing. Now its time for me to take a break. Boxing isnt going to retire me, im going to retire from boxing"

Floyd was asked about a possible rematch with Hatton, and his answer was: "We don't know what the future holds, anything is possible. Is it possible? Absolutely," he told Sky Sports News when asked about potential bouts against Hatton or De La Hoya

                Im sick of defending floyd....

                you made your paydays

now MAN up... and FIGHT the best... or dont fight at all...

actually, he made his paydays and hes gonna continue to pursue those paydays because thats what marquee fighters do in this day and age.

i dont need to defend floyd, i know what hes doing, making money, do i like it? not really, but at this point, and with the nature of this board, im better off just ignoring the whole thing and moving on.

I saw this interview when i got home to my Skysports TV and i thought what an idiot, If he rematch Hatton before he fought Cotto or any other Top WW then people need to boycott his fights, I like PBF but am not a fool..He needs to fight the Top WW...Period

Yeah, I agree. I don't have a problem with a Oscar rematch but to fight Hatton again? No need at all. I hope at some point his pride kicks in and his desire to be seen as the best in the sport takes over and that he's open to tougher challenges like Cotto.

The thing is, he can CONTINUE to make those paydays while still fighting the fights that the boxing world is calling for him to make. Floyd will make around $12-15mil to fight Cotto. If that's not what u would consider a payday, then i dont know what to tell u . He will kill 3 birds with 1 stone. Make his paper, shut up all his critics, and solidify his place in the WW division.
