Hopkins is known for leading in with his head, but I haven't really seen him low blow his opponents. Maybe I missed something in the fights I've seen.

This fight is a no brainer. Calzaghe wins by decision by a wide , wide margin.
I like Hopkins but whether he admits it or not he HAS slowed down and just can no longer fight 3 minutes every round where while Calzaghe isn't a spring chicken either he hasn't showed decline yet. Hopkins couldn't keep up with Taylor when they fought although I thought he won the re-match he's now fighting a guy who throws more than taylor and has had no problem beating fighters in much better shape than Hopkins is now. They'll send their lackies out to build this up in the forums but honestly this really is a easy fight to pick a winner once emotions aren't involved. Calzaghe will just out work Hopkins and win a decision with Hopkins complaining he got robbed. I also can see Hopkins getting dirty later in this fight because of desperation and thats what really Calzaghe should be watching out for.

but underneath all that dirtiness there's subtle skill & still crafty as they come with or without the illegal tactics...to him getting away with being dirty is a bonus..

Now we're going to be able to take this thing and make them understand the difference between the American top best. Europe has always come in second when it came to boxing, they've always been second to us. If you can't make it in the NBA here, they send you to Europe to get your game together, then you can come back.
If only people could understand this without getting so sensitive, its the absolute truth. Maybe Joe can be the exception, but I'm sure he get sent right back like all the others.

Yeah Bernard is going to KNOCK JOE OUT just like he did to WINKY WRIGHT and JERMAINE TAYLOR and JERMAINE TAYLOR THE FIRST TIME and HOWARD EASTMAN and ROBERT ALLEN and WILLIAM JOPPY who got knocked out by a WELTERWIGHT...

I can understand people thinking that Bernard can eke out a decision, but he hasn't stopped anyone around his size since Morrade Hakkar.

In all honesty I'm going to be nervous too.

There are too many variables, and the fight will likely be ugly and possibly also controversial.

hopkins always talks tough, but in the end it's all bs. he gets the victory, but he does it through skill and smarts, hopkins is the type of fighter that does not rely on power to get wins. for all of you who think he's going to knock out calzaghe you'll feel very dissapointed after the result. Im not a hopkins hater, but i repeat BERNARD HOPKINS WILL NOT STOP CALZAGHE.

He is not really tryna butt anyone but trying to keep his chin tucked, but if he butts someone, in his mind its a plus, but thats not the primary intention.
