he didnt drop tarver, the impact of the punch caused tarver to reel across the ring out of balance with his glove touching the canvas. it was a good, legit shot, but it was nowhere near a knockout blow, and tarver wasnt hurt by it. hopkins did hurt tarver plenty on other occasions in the fight.
