Andy Lee this Friday Night on ESPN

Looking forward to this fight. Aaron Pryor Jr. is also on the card. I've seen Andy fight twice. Looked good in the first fight, average in the second. He's fighting Brian Vera from the Contender so this will be a decent test. With the ESPN Friday Night Fights crowd watching, It will be a good time for a big performance.

Vera's not a pushover, but it would be extremely disappointing if Lee lost this one. I have to think his last performance was just a bad night. He looked a little rough around the edges. Hopefully, he comes out strong on Friday. Boxing could use another big time Irish fighter now that Duddy was semi-exposed.

you cant judge lee on his last performance, the other guy didnt even want to fight him, it was pretty much a joke and i think lee was just frustrated and got sloppy because he knew even if he missed the chump wasnt going to hit him back

i saw lee fight in canton michigan on a kronk fight night card and his punches sound like a cruiserweights when they land. he will destroy brian vera, so long as vera shows up to fight

If Vera lasts more than 3 rounds with Lee I will be HIGHLY dissapointed in him.

Isn't Vera that joke fighter who couldn't even last was it 1 round or 2 rounds on that ****ty contender series with the likes of codrington. I wasn't expecting vera to beat codrington, but I wasn't expecting him to puss out and get ko'd the way he did.

I agree. But Lee is a confident man and understands he needs to impress on this card. Give him two rounds to pick his spots and a third to do the business

I'm looking forward to this one - Lee should win by KO.

I wonder what the comments from Teddy Atlas will be. Will he be negative and demeaning toward Lee, like he always is toward white boxers? Some people think Atlas is Irish, but he's not.

Must everything be about race when it comes to you? Something tells me whenever someone chooses a black fighter over a white one you think it is because they are racist.

Tunney I have to side with Skills on this one. I've never noticed this about Atlas.

He always seems to have a favorite, but it doesn't seem to cut along racial lines. I figure he always has reasons I don't know about for preferring some guys over others (like whoever he told the crew would win)
