Well they need to feed the hype and let it spread. The Limeys are going to make a star of this guy, and it wouldn't help to fight a big rock-jawed puncher like Virchis, a slick defensive guy like Chambers or Iggy, or another young puncher like Boytsov.

If you're Haye's manager, you keep calling out Wlad but try to schedule harmless fights with Rahman, Holyfield, Golota, etc. until you have half the world fooled about what's going on.

They are not going to match him with a top 20 guy, but they are going to match him with faded names.

That's the HW way, they're not trailblazing, it's worked for lots of people.

I suppose this was directed at me.

Half a year is not a couple of months(usualy a couple is 2, hence the word couple), but my point was not even that, Haye been talking **** like it was going out of fashion, telling us how he is gonna knock Wlad out and then decided to comeback in half a year against a guy whose best days are as long in the past as Holyfield's hair.

That's some ****ing ambition right there.

Booth has told the BBC that Haye's next fight is most likely to be in November against Hasim Rahman which will be a title eliminator, He hopes that Haye will be in a position to challenge for a world title some time in 2009.
hmm Rahman is getting old now but he is still world rated so i think this is a good start for Haye. While Rahman is not that good any more, he is a ranked name so will be a good start for his attack on the HWs. I should think Haye will win this easy, if this is a very competative fight then hat would prove that there isn;t a chance of Haye beating Wlad but if he wins easily, well hes doing what was expected.

Yeah, the scheme is pretty evident, they tried to pull off the similar trick on Audley Harrison, but he came up short even against his domestic opposition, plus he is a lazy bastard.

This would be a nice fight for Haye to start with, Rahman is a reasonably big name and he should knock him out and look good in the process. The perfect fight to introduce him US fans, and lets face it he needs to make himself known over there if he is to make fights with top ranked fighters.

No Englishman will want to admit this, but Harrison had better tools and on his best day was better than Haye.

Why does everybody wanna see Wlad vs Haye already? I wanna see things heat up first. I wanna see Haye work his way up and Tye Fields. If Haye fights Wlad now its gonna take the excitement out of the HW division thats just starting to buzz again.
