Pacquiao Wins Split Verdict Over Marquez

It wasn't robbery, i don't see how anyone can state that although I do think Marquez came out on top. I had the fight scored 115-112 Marquez and I had money on Manny so I defo wasn't biased.Comment

Exactly...well said. Marquez put his soul into training for this fight. In fact they both did. I had him ahead by at least a round or two. Keep in mind one judge had it 115-112 for Marquez taking into account the 10/8 score for the knockdown in the third. Also Pac was only up on the other score card by 115-112 (same margin) also taking into account the knockdown. Do the math that puts Marquez ahead by two rounds taking the knock down out of the equation. Either way great fight and these two fights haven't proved that Pac is the better of Marquez. It is easy for us to say no robbery when were not the one's running in snow at extreme altitude and living in one of the mos dangerous cities in the world.J MM did what he had to to win. Pac has not really improved. I've seen street fighters that fight like him. ALL the filipinos on this forum are so biased. It seems like they are blind to anything not PAC.Last edited by switchsouthpaw; 03-16-2008, 01:46 AM.Comment

I actually had it a draw again with the knockdown in the equation. Im a big pacquiao fan but that fight was definitely not robbery. It was a close fight that could have gone either way. Props to both fighters. Everyone needs to stop whining as the fight was so close there was nothing really conclusive about it. Pac needed to keep JMM on the canvas to truly prove he is the conqueror of all mexico. JMM needed to keep his ass off the canvas to secure a decisive win instead of bitching about how bad he hurt pac several times when he was walking to the wrong corner at the end of round 3. A 3rd fight would be great but i have a feeling both of these guys could be fighting each other at age 40 and it would still be just as close.Comment
