Yes, the ticket sales indicate a lot of people want to see this fight!

Some people like Parody are being much too hard on Hatton. Give him a break, he's coming off his first loss, to the #1 p4p fighter in the world. He's fighting the right opponent at this time in his career - he'll likely fight Malignaggi in the fall.

But the people who want to see this fight are the Hatton fans, NOT boxing fans. Most of the people who'll be goin to that fight have no interest in boxing outside of Hatton fights (or Khan and Calzaghe). Im not havin a go at him because he needs some lesser fights before he clashes with another top fighter but i am annoyed that its on box office considering the level of opposition.

I think the reason is that Witter does have a lot of skill and even if Hatton wins he won't look good doing it. Zab Judah was at his best when he fought Witter but never came close to hurting him, and Witter is a lot better now than he was then. I think that Witter is possibly the most underrated fighter in the world.

I think it'd be a very interesting fight, I'm still not sure who I'd pick to win, but Hatton needs to hurry up and fight him.

I dont mind hatton fighting lazcano - alot of good fighters need a tune up or a morale booster after a loss and hatton is no different. i dont mind him fighting this lazcano fella but i hear uts on ppv - now if it was for his fans then surelyhatton would have tried to get it on normal setanta sports or itv or something and not on sky box office.

anyway i see why hatton may be accused of dodging witter - witter style is tailor mae for hatton, witter has speed, accuracy and power at 140lbs and he represents a big risk for hatton. you could say that hatton doesn't duck anyone becuse he has fought the likes of mayweather and tsyzu but mayweather represnted a chance to become the p4p no.1 whereas if he loses to witter hatton record suddenly doesn't look all that good.

i think hatton will fight witter though in his next 3/4 fights if he doesn't he seriously risks losing alot of fans and respect.

I think he wears witter down and stops him late or wins a wide UD purely through sheer workrate and non stop aggression.

Call me old fashioned, but i enjoy a good old fashioned tear up and witter will do anything to avoid this kind of fight. He will run like a ***** all night long as soon as he feels hattons power

If someone told you, you could stand to make upwards of 15-20 million in one fight, you would do anything to get it. Mayweather's ppl urged ricky to fight a couple of fights in the US against some top names even if they are past their prime, to get a little more exposure before they would sign up to fight him. Thats exactly what he did. Notice, ricky didn't fight any top fighters in their primes to get to mayweather. Those were carefully selected top guys that he fought.
