he sure looked good on the Pacquiao vs Marquez II undercard, altho he seems to get a little too much.
Im surprised that Vanes fellow aint here. I was sure he was gonna bring up his Armenian guys, I always like how he tried so hard to promote them. Vanes looks like a good prospect to me.Comment

Read my prospect list,im really high on all these guys ( not too sure about Paris and Brunson yet )
But to pick two,its gna have to be :
Yuriorkis Gamboa - IMO and alot of other peoples opinions, the best prospect in boxing, just look at his resume, most champions today have NEVER had only 9 pro fights with the opposition Gamboa has had,his 9 opponents records combined stands at : 146 wins 29 losses and 5 draws, and his next opponent in his 10th pro fight has a record 25-0 with 16 KOs! hes one of the most naturaly gifted fighters ive seen in the ring, need i say more? If u havent seen him yet where have u been?
Danny Jacobs - He's got it all to be a champ, the reason i pick him over all the other prospects on my list is because he's the most characteristic out of all of them, hes only had 3 pro fights and seems confident as hell,i remember in his 2nd pro fight during the staredown he was so confident,he winked at the camara, then when the bell rang KO'd his opponent with the first big shot he landed, his speed, power and combos are amazing,SRL/Meldrick Taylor type of shots,he could be a huge American starLast edited by bishop2006; 03-18-2008, 11:00 PM.Comment

Aaron Williams 16-0- A Cruiserweight prospect who is a NINE TIME United States amateur champion, which includes Gold Medals in the 2003 US National PAL Championships as a heavyweight. And he was only 17 years old when he won that! Hes only 21 right now, but already has 16 victories and has been fighting about 5 times a year. His next opponent is 40-2 Andre Purlette, and theyll be fighting April 4th.

Tavoris Cloud 19-0(18 KOs)

Recently beat up and stopped Julio Cesar Gonzalez, who had never been stopped before, and hes been in the ring with fighters like Clinton Woods, Roy Jones and Reggie Johnson. Gonzalez was faded, but it was an impressive win all the same. It was an IBF Title Eliminator, look out for him in the future. 26 years old.
Marcus 'Too Much' Johnson 16-0 (13 KOs)
http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...0390&cat=boxer
22 year old Super Middleweight. He was the 2004 US Amateur Light Heavyweight Champion. Dont know too much about him, but being a 2004 amateur champion at 18 sounds pretty promising to me.
Nice body shot.
Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez 21-0 (15 KOs)

This one was a surprise. The guy is only 18! Geez. He doesnt look Mexican to me in the videos, but he is. He looks pretty well schooled for someone so young, so keep an eye out for him in the coming years. Hes fighting very, very often...first US fight this month in California against 16-2 Larry Mosley

Lucas Martin MatthysseI will make this thread for all the prospects who are not big now, but may end up being major players in boxing one they step up in competition. I think we should update this too for all the new guys that start popping up, so that they can become popular a little bit quicker, so whenever they get a big win or become champions we actually know who they are! Be sure to add some of your own!
Heres a few guys Im keeping an eye out for at the moment...
Eric 'Danger' Fields 11-0-He has only been fighting a short while, but shows a huge amount of natural talent. He became the 2006 National Golden Gloves Champion after only boxing only 18 months! His biggest victory is over former champ Kelvin Davis, who was not in top shape but Fields destroyed him in the 1st round and looked extremely impressive. He reportedly is actually a huge body puncher, something we didnt even get to see in the Davis fight. If he continues to improve at the rate hes going, look for him to be fighting for the Cruiser, or even Heavyweight championship later on.
Fighting 11-0 Ola Afolabi next, who stopped an old Orlin Norris in his last fight

'Vicious' Victor Ortiz 20-1-Only 21 years old, this hard hitting Light Welterweight southpaw already has 21 wins and a long amateur career. In his last fight he knocked out former champ Carlos Maussa, who lasted 9 rounds with Ricky Hatton only two fights before he fought Ortiz. Ortiz knocked him out badly in the first round. Ortiz hasn't been nearly as active this year compared to previous years, but he has a bright future with his young age.

'Mean' Joe Greene 18-0-A rising star in the Middleweight division, he is only 22 years old and seems to have a ton of power in his southpaw stance. He was the 2004 National Golden Gloves Middleweight Champ when he was only about 18. He was recently on the untelevised undercard of Klitschko-Ibragimov, where he used Francisco Mora as a punching bag until the fight was mercifully stopped. Scheduled to fight an unnamed opponent in a month, keep yours eyes out for this guy.
