Lets say for a second Miranda KO's Kessler. Does this drop his stock and at the same time, drop Calzaghe's stock? Or is Miranda all of a sudden just really good?

A win over Kessler would raise Miranda's stock a LOT because it would prove that he was weight-drained at 160 and will be a top player at 168/175.

At the same time it would drop Kessler's stock (he would have to make a hell of a comeback to ever be a top guy again), perhaps even Calzaghe's unless Joe destroys Hopkins.

it could go many ways.

To be honest with you I thought miranda was going to have pavlik's number when they fought...

i knew pavlik was going to want to brawl and i know miranda is a brawler himself...i figured whoever landed the hardest first would win by KO...i thought miranda was going to do it but pavlik beat him to the punch...literally.

I think miranda is an unpolished fighter with a better trainer could do a lot better...his defense is lacking and his boxing technique could use some tuning...beyond that he's made a very good start in his career...now he has to build on it...and since pavlik beat taylor twice miranda doesnt look so bad...if taylor spanked pavlik then miranda would look bad...

and i do agree...he was a bit drained from making weight...

i still think kessler wins but it would be nice to see miranda seize this big opportunity to do something that could only help his career...in a major way...
