Hopkins beats Calzaghe when hes in his true prime and will give him trouble when they fight on April 19. Hopkins is great at taking away his opponents best weapon and his ruff house tactics would throw Joe off. He has the tools to negate Calzaghe's game. That is too force his speed and ability to brawl on his opponent. Hopkins would catch Joe coming in with the right hand counter and box Joe from the outside, completly nullifying Joe's great handspeed, footspeed and work rate because he wouldn't have a chance to get his punches off as much as he needed to.

When Joe is forced to fight in tactical battle, then he does not look as impressive. Just take a look at the Robin Reid fght. He can not handle an opponent that has equal skill to him. He looks good against come foward opponents that are tailor made for him such as, Jeff Lacy. Kessler was a decent pure boxer but Calzaghe clearly had the better boxing skills. Hopkins takes the fight with his ring smarts, effective punching, and ring generalship. Hopkins by split decision.

Saiko Bika was able to rough Calzaghe up badly and i had him winning a few of those rounds as well, unlike the official judges. He landed some hard punches and he even cut Calzaghe over the eye.

He cut him with a headbutt. That's not how i saw it though, i saw Bika trying to rough Calzaghe up but Calzaghe beating him at his own game. I didn't score any rounds for Bika as i recall.

I think its a good close fight. Calzaghe is alot more active.. and nard is a crafty technician.. I edge hopkins tho..

Calzaghe went for the knock out against Bika, it wasn't the real Joe there.

It's been a while since I watched Bika-Calzaghe, but I think I had Bika winning 4 rounds. Maybe not that many, but it wasn't a shutout.

Calzaghe did struggle with Bika's rough tactics and Bika gave him a tough fight. Another reason why I'm picking Bernard over Calzaghe for their upcoming fight.
