Tyson losing to Douglas no doubt. Too bad it was the beginning of the end of TYSON.

Not only did Buster beat Tyson, but he dominated virtually every round and knocked him out. Max Schmelling was not a 42-1 underdog against Louis unlike Douglas was against Tyson.
      End of thread.

One thing that made Louis vs Schmeling such an upset was that Baer KO'd Schmeling in 10 rounds when they fought and Louis was coming off a 4 round destruction over Baer.

It didn't really seem like Schmeling had a chance in hell and even the Germans knew it but Max used his experience to defeat Louis.

But it's not as big of an upset as Tyson vs Douglas was because Schmeling had been a champion in the past and he had beaten some tough fighters.
With 40 KO's in Schmeling's record he certainly seemed to have a punchers chance, Douglas wasn't given even that.

The world was watching Louis/Schmeling...I remember my kids and I gathered around the radio, next to the fireplace. It was expected to be a competitive fight.

            As opposed to Tyson/Douglas...
Which was thought to be such a non-fight that only the Japanese saw it live, and there was no American TV...
