In britain everybody pays National insurance & tax from their wage so it is not exactly free.
And for those who never have treatments or go to the doctors...in effect pay for those that do.
I'd say the amount the average Brit pays into the system far outweighs what they get out of it.

Yeah I suppose it depends on how you look at it. 50 million americans don't have any insurance at all and cant afford basic care, let alone something serious. And millions more have inadequate insurance that only covers a portion, so they are still screwed. #1 reason for filing for bankruptcy in America is health care dept.
