    Best ever southpaw heavyweights?

I remember hearing before that Michael Moorer was the first ever southpaw heavyweight champion. I was wondering if there are any other notable southpaw heavyweights of the 20th century, and were any of the champions who preceded Moorer left-handers who fought with an orthodox stance?

Chris Byrd was a southpaw and he was better than Michael Moorer in my opinion. His hands were way faster and he was better technically polished, on top of him having a much better chin. The only thing that Moorer had over Byrd was punching power.

Look at how slick he was when he was in his prime. Even though he lost the fight (by KO), he was doing some interesting things.

i think there not many because orthadox fighters normally knock southpaws out with there right hand especially at heavywieght its dangerous to be a southpaw enless you have quick hands i guess like bird and gd defense.
Orthadox fighters normally look for the ko against a southpaw because southpaws can be tricky.

Until the 1990's, there had been very few southpaw heavyweights who had any success. I might be missing someone, but I think before then the only lefty heavyweight to fight for the title was Karl Mildenberger who challenged Ali in Germany.

There haven't been many southpaw heavyweights, I'd go with either Moorer or Byrd.
