Why is quoting a Boxer a wankfest.
A man who has shared a ring with Tyson and Vitali.
Which obviously gives him more credence than yourself doesn't it?
Danny boy at his best was a decent fighter although there were occasions where he wasn't all ther e mentally with regards to ocnfidence.
And Danny boy certainly has decent KO power and if he says he has hit Haye and not phased him then that says a lot to me about Hayes Chin.
Lets not forget when he lost he was more gassed than sparked out.
Another thing is if he has been weight drained at Cruiser then that will obviously affect his punch resistance as well.
Cotto is another fighter who has shown that being comfortable at the weight that his chin has improved.
One more thing as well , up at heavyweight noeone is immune from getting ko'ed if they are caught correctly.
All the great champs apart from Marciano tasted defeat by KO.
Haye is doing something that noone has done since lennox retired.
And that is creating a buzz for HW boxing and something to look forward to.
The build up buzz is for me sometimes just as exciting as the fights themselves.

Haye has an easier task ahead of him compared to the level of opposition Lewis faced, the division was much stronger when Lewis was fighting. It all depends on how much Haye improves and how he adapts to the weight but with his current skills I'd say Haye can't compete against a prime Lewis. It might be a different story in a few years, but then again it might not.

Haye came along at a time when he can compete against and potentially defeat the generally mediocre boxers of the heavyweight division. If Haye was around during Lewis' or Tyson's reign it might be a very different story. But having said that, if "being as good as Lewis" means unifying the heavyweight titles, then Haye does have a chance to do that considering the current state of the division.

Did I discredit him as a fighter? no

By wankfest, I mean that ever since his KO everyone is expecting to do big things in the HW division, i.e. KO Wlad. Now all of a sudden he can be as good as Lennox with out facing any of the big boys in HW division. Williams is grasping at straws. Until Haye has faced some good opponents at HW, then it would be ideal to judge whether he can be as good as Lennox.

If he can go up and take a puch hes going to be the most exciting fighter in the division althought that really isn't saying much, but for now I think being a "good prospect" is all that can really be bequeathed to him. He does hit hard tho but so could Tommy Morrison, Danny Williams himself etc.

the dude hasn't even fought a fight in heavyweight, or an opponent most of the world public even remotley knows. Lennox is a great, lets please not get ahead of ourselves. I could care less what Danny Williams says. My honest opinion is Haye will loose some fights at heavy. He'll do well, but def no great. Ill be inpressed if he gets a belt, which is looking tougher and tougher since the Klitcho bro's seem like they are taking a hold.

Obviously if you ignore the Lennox part you might see past that and get the part where Danny says he sees no problem with Hayes chin.
And even if you don't like it Bonin was a ranked WBC top 15 HW fighter who was doing well against Fraudley Harrison before a dubious stoppage in favour of Harrison.
The same Harrison who KO'ed Danny boy.
Why do people keep reading the negative rather than the positive.

People are ready to hand Haye the crown, and i think that's great but.. The Heavyweight division is currently run by oversized monsters. It is now the land of the dinosaurs, cruiserweights coming up are gonna have it tougher now than ever before despite the alleged lack of competition.
