There could be lots of reasons, he loves the Country and wants to prove it, the Turkish Cypriot goverment may sponsor his training out there, he could have friends or family from there???

It certainly doesn't make him non British, **** me 99% of the USA has a bloodline that began outside of US, no one disputes that American fighters are not American otherwise you wouldn't have too many true American fighters would you?
